Taking over St Kilda’s Fitzroy Street precinct this September is Fusion On Fitzroy Street, the free festival that transforms 19 local venues into intimate music spaces. On Saturday 5 September from 1:00pm to 10:30pm, St Kilda’s iconic Fitzroy Street will come alive with the sounds of live jazz, soul and swing.
Featuring a diverse lineup of 19 acclaimed local acts and performers, the festival is designed to showcase the precinct’s vibrant culture and premier hospitality offerings. The event invites locals, music lovers and visitors to wander the street, catch live performances and sample local food and drink offerings from afternoon to night.
To kick off the festivities, attendees can join a free introductory swing dancing lesson hosted by Swing Patrol at Pyramid Restaurant & Bar from 12:00pm. Participants will learn basic steps from Swing Patrol's world-class teaching team, followed by a live dance demonstration at 1:00pm before the first live music acts take to the stage across the street.
